Which Shopify subscription and bundle apps document the most features?

We compared 20 Shopify subscription and bundle apps on 246 features, counting a feature for an app only when that app's own public pages say it exists. The apps with the most documented features are Appstle Subscriptions + Appstle Bundles (117), Supr Bundle & Subscription App (90), Loop (82). We make Supr, which documents 90 and ranks number 2 on this count. A count shows what an app documents, not everything it can do.

Who this is for: For merchants and agencies comparing Shopify subscription and bundle apps who want counts they can check against each app's own pages.

How we counted

We keep a list of 246 features across six areas (Subscription offers and pricing; The storefront widget; The customer portal; Keeping subscribers; Running it: reports, integrations and the API; Bundles). For each app we read its public pages (help center, documentation and App Store listing) and record whether each feature is documented there, with the page linked.

A feature counts for an app only when its own public pages say it exists. Something we saw only by testing is never counted, and Not documented means the pages do not say, not that the app lacks the feature. Where a vendor sells subscriptions and bundles as two apps, the two are counted together, since a store would install both.

Bundle-only apps are counted on the bundle features that apply to them, so their totals are smaller by design. Compare a bundle app with another bundle app, and a subscription app with another subscription app.

What this count does not tell you

Check it yourself

  1. Open the comparison hub and choose two apps.
  2. Read the feature table. Every Yes, Partly or No links the page it comes from.
  3. Open the link for any feature that matters to your store and confirm it says what the table says.
  4. If a page has changed or we read it wrongly, tell us and we will correct the table.

Questions

Does the app with the highest count win?

Not necessarily. The count shows how much an app documents across a long list. The right app is the one that documents the features your store needs, so check those rows.

Why are bundle-only apps' totals lower?

They are counted only on the bundle features that apply to them, around 100 of the full list, so their totals are smaller by design.

How do you handle an app that sells subscriptions and bundles separately?

The two apps are counted together as one row, because a store selling both would install both.

Is Not documented the same as not supported?

No. It means the app's public pages do not say. The app may well support it.

Every setting is covered in the help center: Supr help center.
